Third Feedback from the German Group
After the extremly exciting table tennis game from yesterday in the ExCel arena with our German guy Dimitry Ovtcharov we had some further highlights on our plan for today! So we had another short night(we arrived 12pm in The Camp) and took our breakfast at 8.40am. After some toast and coffee we cut all participants into 2 groups. One group gone to a near golf course to do some practice in golfing! This was a lot of fun and after knowing the tricks behind the Tee-Off you can fast get a good distance over 150m. The second group get a lesson in horse riding (and there were not only girls in group :-) ). After the group was driven to the riding school (like always from our lovely driver Toni) all participants had to fill in the formals and get some shoes included helmet for the secure! After it, there was the first meeting with the mounts. Everybody was extremly excited, because the most of the group were beginner! So than everybody get some training in handling a horse and feeling comfortable on it. A great and exciting hour was finished with taking the horses to their stables and doing some pictures with them! All in all you can say that it was a great experience for everybody and an unforgetable morning! After the short journey home we had a nice lunch with tuna, olives and some other delicatesses. So we were well prepared to go to the next point for the day....SHOPPING! The group took the tube to Stratford and visited the shopping centre which is bigger than some villages of our youth exchange participants :-) but this was just the intermediate stop for the concluding highlight of the day. We visited the Earl's Court Arena in the west of London to go to the Volleyball games between USA-China and Brasil-North Korea. This was the next opportunity to absorb this crazy feeling to be a part of Olympic Games. The mood in the arena was amazing and the vibes between the different countries were everytime solidaric and fair! Everybody get a new experience to see some sport live which you had never seen before. The last point on the shedule was the 1h home journey to the camp where we enjoyed our last night in our tents to go on Thursday back to Manchester for visiting Old Traffort and so on...
EIGHTH day - Return to Manchester, visit of Manchester United, Celebration
